Release notes

Last updated: November 1, 2026

What's new in Zyllio Studio, week by week. Major announcements are also on the blog.

Week of October 26, 2026

New

  • File attachments in the Chatbot component: users of your apps can now attach a file to their message (PDF, text, CSV, JPEG/PNG/WebP images). The chatbot takes it into account in its answer.

Improvements

  • Studio AI assistant: when a request fails, a clear error message is shown with a Retry button, so you don't have to type your request again.
  • AI screen generation: better handling of image titles and spacing.

Fixes

  • Stability fixes for the chatbot and the AI assistant.

Week of October 19, 2026

New

  • New AI assistant in the Studio: a single panel, available from the design and database views, replaces the former generator. Describe what you want to create or change (screens, tables, custom components, features…) and the assistant takes care of it. The app reloads automatically to show its changes.
  • Chatbot component: add an AI chatbot to your apps. Configure it in Settings > Integrations > Chatbot:
    • choice of provider (OpenAI, Mistral AI, Claude) and model;
    • per-table permissions (read, create, update) to control which data the chatbot can access.
  • Installable Chatbot feature: the assistant can add a ready-to-use chatbot screen.
  • REST query parameters: in REST integrations, you can define query parameters with an example value.

Improvements

  • Create an app with AI: simpler flow. Describe your need and the AI builds your app; the name and theme selection step is gone.
  • Remote tables: you can now delete an imported remote table.

Changes

  • The Header component no longer has a custom back icon option.

Week of October 12, 2026

New

  • New app creation screen: three ways to get started:
    • start from a blank page;
    • create with AI;
    • pick a template.
  • Template picker: browse app templates by category (Business, Education, Health, Games…) and by feature (Authentication, Chat, Geolocation, Offline…), with a preview before creating.
  • Zoom actions: three new actions, Zoom in, Zoom out and Reset zoom, to enlarge or shrink the current screen.
  • “Application name” function: returns the name of the running app.
  • Authentication conditions: new User is authenticated and User is not authenticated conditions.
  • Action editor: new toolbar button to show step IDs.
  • Statistic component: new size option (Large, Medium, Small).
  • AI assistant: the assistant can now:
    • create, update and delete custom components;
    • import Airtable and TimeTonic tables;
    • install ready-to-use features (authentication, chat, comments).

Improvements

  • Consistent component spacing across the whole library.
  • Predefined themes: the “Futur” theme is replaced by “Lavande”.

Changes

  • The Comment and Message components no longer have a background image option.

Week of October 5, 2026

New

  • App folders: organize your apps into folders from the main menu (create, rename, delete an empty folder).
  • “Truncated component” indicator: in the design view, a component cut off by the screen edges is now flagged.

Improvements

  • Push notifications: subscriber statistics are now broken down by browser (Chrome / Safari) instead of Android / iOS.
  • Lists in profile mode: new avatar display that adapts even without an image.
  • Dialogs: messages are visually distinguished (error, warning, information). Geolocation errors, for example, are shown as warnings.

Fixes

  • Data updates: successive changes to the same row are now applied in order, which prevents data loss when saving quickly.

Week of September 28, 2026

New

  • Track changes made by an external assistant: when ChatGPT or Claude edits your app through MCP, the Studio shows the steps in progress live (creating screens, tables, updating the theme…). It refreshes automatically once the changes are ready.
  • The MCP server covers more needs: your AI assistant can now:
    • create, read, update and delete screens;
    • read and update the app theme and icon;
    • publish the app;
    • delete a table.
  • “Download files” action: downloads a file, or bundles several files into a ZIP archive.
  • Actions panel: a breadcrumb shows where you are in nested actions.

Improvements

  • New profile avatar display in lists, chat and comments.

Week of September 21, 2026

New

  • Five new charts: bar, line, pie, doughnut and radar.

Improvements

  • Android publishing: step-by-step instructions to upload the app to Google Play Console and test it internally on your phone.
  • Home page: an announcement introduces the new App Store and Google Play publishing.
  • Maps: better display when a location cannot be found.

Week of September 14, 2026

New

  • Connect to ChatGPT and Claude via MCP: the MCP integration page offers guided steps to connect your app to ChatGPT or Claude. Each user signs in with their Zyllio account and keeps their rights on the app.
  • The AI assistant manages your database: from ChatGPT or Claude, it can create, rename and read tables, add, rename or delete columns, create relations, manage rows, upload images and view usage statistics.
  • Copy and paste formulas: copy a formula and paste it into another property.

Improvements

  • Forms: new “The field … is required” message for required fields left empty.

Week of September 7, 2026

New

  • Three new progress indicators: bar, circle and repeated icons (for example ★★★☆☆).
  • Segments component: a single choice shown as connected buttons.
  • Redesigned filters and conditions: each criterion is made of a field, an operator and a value. Criteria are combined with AND / OR.
  • Simpler MCP connection: no more API key to copy, each user signs in with their Zyllio account.

Improvements

  • Icon library: search by name.
  • Navigation component: when there are too many screens, those that don't fit in the bar are grouped under a More button.

Week of August 31, 2026

New

  • ARIA accessibility (RGAA): new integration that automatically applies ARIA attributes to compatible components. We recommend the Contrast theme for better readability.
  • Studio update notification: a message lets you know when a new version is available, with a Refresh button.

Improvements

  • Component drag and drop: moving components has been fully reworked, with more precision and a clearer drop target.
  • Store publishing: clear information about the required developer accounts (Google Play: USD 25, one-time; Apple: USD 99 per year), with links to create them.
  • The bottom-of-screen navigation bar component is now called Navigation.

Week of August 24, 2026

New

  • Store publishing option: unlock publishing to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for an app, and manage the matching subscription.
  • Side Note component: a contextual note with a title, text and a highlighted left border.
  • “File size” function and new File size format (B, KB, MB, GB) to display file sizes.

Improvements

  • AI generator: you can add an existing AI component to the context of your request.
  • AI components: a confirmation is requested before deleting a component.
  • Publishing: explicit messages when no build or publication is available yet.

Week of August 17, 2026

Improvements

  • Groundwork on the component library (buttons, texts, images, contacts, forms, dashboards…) to prepare for accessibility and AI generation. No behavior change expected in your apps.

Week of August 10, 2026

Improvements

  • Infrastructure work on app and file storage. No visible change.

Week of August 3, 2026

New

  • iOS publishing: build the app and send it to TestFlight directly from the Studio.
  • Store access check: a button checks that your Google Play or App Store Connect configuration is correct before publishing.

  • App Store Connect setup: step-by-step guide (Team ID, creating the listing, bundle ID).
